Department Summary:

Drake's Student Services Center provides assistance on a number of campus programs, but mostly oversees the use of the Drake ID system. Door access, Meal Plans, and Bulldog Bucks are all utilized through your Drake ID.

Job Summary:

Manage various administrative tasks as part of the Student Services Center. Hire and supervise 8-12 student staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

HS Diploma
1-2 years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

College degree
1-2 years experience

Job Duties:

  • 30% - Management and data entry pertaining to the following systems: Drake Mobile IDs, Public Safety permit/citations, key requests/tracking, and the Johanson Student Center room system. This includes performing door access updates, troubleshooting door access inquiries, and adjustment of Bulldog Bucks accounts on cards. Assists with processing of incoming students at Orientation. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Assist with the purchase of memberships, travel accommodations, supplies, etc. for Registered Student Orgs. Process student reimbursement requests. Manage the reconciliation of student life p-cards. Will work with Student Life office on these processes. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Support front desk operations – this position is the subject matter expert and trainer of front-end student staff for the front desk Student Services Center office – this person also fills in at the desk when needed. Supported operations include front end SSC communication via phone, email, and walk-in traffic. Collection and recording of daily monetary transactions. Distribution of materials to campus community (keys, payroll checks, parking passes, etc.) - (Essential)
  • 20% - Schedule management of student worker staff. This includes creating semester schedules, approving timesheets, training new hires, and ensuring proper coverage of the front desk during all business hours. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned - (Essential)
