Job Summary:
Drake University’s Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in Occupational Therapy to teach two 3-credit hour research courses in spring 2026. Duties include design, planning and delivery of classes, evaluation of student performance/skills, assign grades, and periodic interactions with students outside of the classroom to discuss student progress.
This Adjunct Faculty of Occupational Therapy at Drake University will be a part-time, non-tenure track position for spring 2026 semester. The adjunct faculty member will plan and teach two research courses: an introduction to research course for 1st year students and the final course in the series focused on research dissemination with 2nd year students. Ongoing responsibilities include classroom preparation, teaching and grading.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Prepare and present classroom materials, activities and examinations in assigned courses • Monitor and maintain records of student progress in assigned courses
• Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must be an NBCOT certified occupational therapist, with a master’s degree in occupational therapy or higher, and be licensed in Iowa by the time the appointment begins. General knowledge and expertise in common clinical conditions treated by occupational therapists, evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning and critical analysis are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants with a minimum of 5 years paid clinical experience are preferred.
