Department Summary:
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is comprised of diverse and collegial faculty that oversee programs for mathematics, computer science, secondary mathematics education, data analytics and artificial intelligence. We value student-centered pedagogies, research with undergraduate students, and collaborations with peers on teaching, scholarship, and service.
Job Summary:
The Department of Mathematics and Computer science seeks three adjunct instructors with the ability to teach either Precalculus (MW from 12:30pm – 1:45pm or TR from 5:00pm – 6:15pm or Business Calculus (TR from 5:00pm – 6:15pm) in the Spring of 2026, and perhaps other courses in subsequent semesters. Successful candidates should have advanced degree in mathematics or course equivalents and prior experience teaching first-year courses or upper-level high school courses. Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and incorporate active-learning and best practices in their instruction. All course materials and associated activities will be provided and instructors will be paired with a faculty member for the semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Mathematics or equivalent and prior successful teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching equivalent classes such as AP Precalculus, dual-enrollment Precalculus, Applied Calculus or Business Calculus.
