Job Summary:

The Drake University Educational Leadership Team invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor. This position will be responsible for teaching School Resource Management with a focus on Iowa school finance. The successful candidate will teach one section to a cohort of aspiring superintendents during the Spring 2025 term.

The course objectives have already been established. The instructor is responsible for facilitating course activities and projects designed to meet the course objectives as well as grading all related coursework.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a master's degree with a Doctoral degree preferred

• A comprehensive understanding of Iowa school finance laws and practices

• Understanding of resources and service provided by Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB), Iowa School Finance and Information Services (ISFIS), and Iowa Association of School Business Officials (IASBO).

• Experience as a school business official, superintendent, or Area Education Agency (AEA) leader

• Experience building and delivering online coursework (preferred)

• Prior participation at ISFLC Conferences (preferred)
