Job Summary:
The Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is excited to hire an enthusiastic and collaborative individual who will excel in a position working with college faculty and staff to help in recruiting students to the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Drake University. They will need the ability to interact with prospective students and families in a positive manner that promotes the college and our programs.
The Assistant Director of Enrollment Services reports to the Director of Enrollment Services and will join a collaborative team of enrollment management professionals to facilitate student recruitment initiatives and enrollment management activities. Through collaboration with the enrollment management team, the Assistant Director provides support and assistance in developing and implementing activities and events designed to recruit undergraduate and graduate/professional students, managing multiple processes related to admission and enrollment of undergraduate and graduate/professional students, and manages recruitment, admissions, and enrollment data required by internal and external stakeholders. To accomplish this, the individual will need to work effectively under demands associated with deadlines and as a collegial and effective team member with staff, faculty, and students, responding respectfully and appropriately to prospective student and family and faculty/staff inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office® applications and ability to use web-based student recruitment and application data management systems.
• Ability to coordinate recruitment and applicant interview events using synchronous videoconferencing technology (e.g., Zoom)
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using the English language.
• Ability to respond respectfully and appropriately to faculty, staff, and student concerns.
• Ability to deliver effective presentations, seminars, and workshops to professional and lay audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in education, admissions, student services, and/or marketing is preferred.
• Supervision of students
Job Duties:
- 30% - Recruitment: Coordinate information related to prospective student interest in CPHS programs. Assist with on-campus recruiting activities, including but not limited to preview days, open house programs, virtual events, summer camps, and individual prospective student visits to the College. Travel to and participate in off-campus recruitment activities. Assist in developing recruitment plans for CPHS programs. Serve as advisor for CPHS Student Ambassadors in regard to their role in enrollment services. - (Essential)
- 25% - Admissions & Enrollment: Assist in the recruiting and admissions processes to CPHS programs for internal and external candidates. This includes but is not limited to application review, verify receipt of academic transcripts, tracking transfer student credit articulation, tracking tuition deposit fees. Support the Director of Enrollment Services in the development of applicant interview days. Assist with melt mitigation and retention initiatives. - (Essential)
- 20% - Communication: Collaborate with the enrollment management team, University admissions, and CPHS Communication Manager to communicate with prospective and admitted undergraduate students. - (Essential)
- 15% - Serve as liaison between University Admissions and CPHS Office of Enrollment Management - (Essential)
- 5% - Assist with the supervision of students and interns assigned to enrollment management. - (Essential)
- 5% - Perform other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
