Drake University's Athletics Department competes in the Missouri Valley Conference at the NCAA Division I level. Bulldog student-athletes thrive in the classroom and their respective field of play. Drake Athletics sport programs are considered Des Moines’ Hometown Team.

Job Summary:
Drake University is seeking a Coordinator of Athletics Administration to join its athletic
department administration. This individual will report to the Associate Athletics Director, Finance & Operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Previous experience working within collegiate or professional athletics
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Commitment to the standards set forth by Drake University and the NCAA
· Valid driver’s license
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Job Duties:
- 20% - Project administration with direction from the Director of Athletics and members of Senior Staff. - (Essential)
- 15% -Football Operations responsibilities, including planning and booking travel arrangements including transportation, lodging, meeting room reservations, and meals, including reconciliation of purchasing card transactions. Travel with football to away games. - (Essential)
- 15% - Drake Relays Volunteer Coordinator responsibilities, including creating volunteer registration, developing and implementing a solicitation strategy and managing on-site volunteer activities throughout Drake Relays week. - (Essential)
- 15% - Support coordination for athletic department donor events, including but not limited to pregame hospitality at football and select basketball games and annual golf outings. - (Essential)
- 10% - Serve on Welcome & Wellbeing Committee and support Senior Staff as appropriate including management of Staff Newsletter, Internal Staff Directory, Athletics Teams Channel, Senior Staff agenda management and other Senior Staff administrative tasks. - (Essential)
- 5% - Manage donation and ticket requests for home games in coordination with the Athletics Ticket Office, Marketing, and Compliance. - (Essential)
- 5%- Event support for Drake Relays in addition to volunteer oversight, as assigned by a member of the Relays staff, with an emphasis on Drake Relays Hall of Fame celebration and special recognitions throughout the week. - (Essential)
- 5% - Serve as liaison to the Paul F. Morrison Special Collections archive at Cowles Library, coordinate the writing and distribution of the D-Club Letter winner Newsletter, and maintain and update the alumni database in coordination with Drake Alumni - (Essential)
- 5% - Collaborate with Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball on post-season travel planning, including arrangements for transportation, lodging, meeting room reservations, and meals with an emphasis on expanded travel party members - (Essential)
- 5% - Complete other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
