Drake Online centrally manages all aspects of Drake University's online programs, providing comprehensive support across the student lifecycle. We handle marketing, recruitment, and retention in-house to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to enrollment and student success. Job Summary:
The Enrollment Management Specialist is responsible for providing a full range of support services for students in Drake Online programs throughout their educational journey. This position will serve multiple roles including recruiting, advising, assisting with registration, maintaining and updating academic records, and providing technical assistance. Position may require irregular work hours, including nights and weekends, to meet with students and attend special programs/events.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of adult learner development and academic theories, methodologies, and current practices in higher education.
* Possess excellent customer service and effectively communicate with learners and other stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments and teams.
* Entry level knowledge of how the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and confidentiality is applied in a higher education environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master’s degree.
* Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a service oriented higher education environment or educational setting that demonstrates skills in academic recruiting, advising, student support services, and retention practices preferred.
* Experience working with a CRM (e.g., Slate®, Salesforce®, etc.) and a student information system (e.g. Banner®, Colleague® PeopleSoft®, etc.).
* Entry-level knowledge of financial aid services and requirements.
Job Duties:
- 60% - Communicates regularly with Drake Online students to inform them of their program requirements, registration dates, access to tutoring, counseling, career, and alumni services from admissions through completion of their program. - (Essential)
- 10% - Guides prospective students through the admissions process for Drake Online program assuring they understand all requirements and steps for admission. - (Essential)
- 10% - Uses the CRM Slate® to monitor prospective student information from the initial point of contact, through the application, admission, and enrollment process. - (Essential)
- 10% - Uses Banner to monitor Drake Online student’s academic performance for successful retention; responds to, and works to resolve concerns, questions, or issues. - (Essential)
- 10% - Works closely with faculty, marketing teams, and student services to enhance student engagement and persistence - (Essential)
