Title: Holistic Coordinator Graduate Assistant

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications of the selected candidate 

Department Summary:

The Division of Student Affairs at Drake University is responsible for supporting students outside the classroom and helping create a meaningful, engaging, and successful college experience. The division works to complement Drake's academic mission by fostering personal growth, leadership development, integrity, responsibility, well-being, and community engagement.

Student Affairs oversees many of the programs and services that shape campus life, including:

Student Inclusion, Involvement, and Leadership

Student organizations and campus programming

Fraternity and Sorority Life

Student Senate and student governance

Residence Life and housing

Recreational Services and wellness programs

Student Health Services

Counseling Services

Community Standards and student conduct

Title IX support and compliance

The Donald V. Adams Leadership Institute

Student support, conflict resolution, and crisis response through the Dean of Students Office

Job Summary:

Provide supportive and caring outreach to students who need direct resources and campus support for various needs including but not limited to mental health, housing, food, financial aid or other identified needs.

​Update Concern Center to ensure a comprehensive database of resources for students, staff and faculty.

​Create and implement a marketing schedule for TimelyCare.

​Support the Holistic Wellness Committee by attending meetings, assisting with the coordination and marketing of initiatives and events.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled graduate student studying in the areas of psychology, sociology, or counseling. ​

Preferred Qualifications:

Currently enrolled graduate student studying in the areas of psychology, sociology, or counseling. ​

Job Duties:

  • 30% - Create and implement a marketing schedule for TimelyCare.
  • 30% - Update Concern Center to ensure a comprehensive database of resources for students, staff and faculty.
  • 20% - Provide supportive and caring outreach to students who need direct resources and campus support for various needs including but not limited to mental health, housing, food, financial aid or other identified needs.
  • 20% - Support the Holistic Wellness Committee by attending meetings, assisting with the coordination and marketing of initiatives and events.
