Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive academic support to a student with a visual impairment to facilitate their successful participation in coursework, labs, and exams. This role requires close collaboration with the student, faculty, and disability services to ensure materials and class activities are accessible and fully understood.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School degree or equivalent.

Must be willing to work on an as needed basis, dependent upon student schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong STEM knowledge, preferably in pharmacy, chemistry, biology, or related fields.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly describe visual content verbally.

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in an educational support role is preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic document formatting.

Job Duties:

  • 50% - In Class Support - (Essential)
  • 30% - Technology Assistance - (Essential)
  • 20% - Other duties as assigned - (Essential)
