The Department of Music is a unit of the Drake University School of Fine Arts and a visible musical resource for the community and the region.

Job Summary:
Drake University invites candidates interested and experienced in teaching studio jazz bass lessons to undergraduate music majors, minors and non-major participants; other duties possible depending on the candidate’s expertise. The expectation is that lessons will be taught in-person.
This is a part-time adjunct position, with only 1-2 hours of weekly teaching, with an opportunity to grow the studio over time. The anticipated start date is January 21, 2025.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred or commensurate experience
